With all of the anti-Islamic ideas and attitudes abounding, it is great to find a story of a strong Islamic woman who is not bound by tradition and has traditionally enjoyed many freedoms. A great tale to break down prejudices.Zorah's Carpet, is an absolutely charming book about an adventurous Berber woman who finds a magic sheep who begs her not to sacrifice it in a religious rite for the Islamic Faith. In return, the fur is spun into a magic rug that takes Zorah to places from her wildest dreams. Will Zorah have the courage to live out her dreams or will she give up her dreams to help support her family?
