installed w/out a hitch! rating: 5
Thanks to the memory shopping guide option provided here by amazon/viking memory, I was able to buy a RDRAM that was 100% compatible w/ my system.I have a hp pavilion 9870, that accepts 128pin non-ecc RDRAM, but even w/ those specs. you're not guarenteed compatibility if you buy a generic RIMM. Atleast w/ the viking catalog, you're guarenteed peace of mind that what you buy has been tested to work w/ your compoter's architechture. So if you need RDRAM, look no further, I've had a positive experiance w/ this Amazon/Viking partnership. and will shop here again. Spend a little money tho. on a static-wristband, you can buy those at radioshack, and do some research on the web on precautions when installing equipment into your computer, be it RIMMs, expansion cards or whatever. Protection against static discharge damage is essential.
