Good for people on the go
rating: 4

This AIWA Cross Trainer works fairly well - it doesn't skip if you run with the CD Player in your hand. However, I've found that even walking with the CD Player in a cargo pocket of my pants will cause skipping. Unlike the Sony Discman player, there is no hand strap on this AIWA model. So if you don't mind holding on to the CD Player while you walk or run, it's a fairly good buy.

The headphones, however, tend to be a bit uncomfortable after a period of time. The little curly things that hook onto your ears put a little pressure on your ears, causing some discomfort. I often use the CD Player but use the more comfortable headphones from a different model.

Great Player

I ordered mine back in August. I have used the player alot, and I feel that it is a great little player. It's antiskip is great, it's water resistant, so I don't ruin it if it start to rain while I'm outside with it, and it looks great. The performance of the unit overall is great.

A company that doesn't care.

We bought the player at the end of November and gave it as a Christmas gift. It began malfunctioning by mid March. The stereo only works when you pull the plug partway out and the unit also stops playing on a random basis...just turns off for no apparent reason. When contacted, AIWA customer service said 'tough luck... you bought it more than 90 days ago so you pay for service'. These are obvious manufacturing defects and occurred within 90 days of use although the actual purchase occurred a month before it was used. I would have though that AIWA would have wanted to stand behind the quality of their product. It will be the last AIWA product I will buy

Great player

I first purchased a cheap CD player for my daughter and found that the batteries had to be replaced just about every other day. I purchased this CD player on it battery usage alone. I had no idea how great this cd player really was. My daughter is 5 and uses this in the car during travel. Never a single problem and is easy enough for her to use.

I run 3 to 5 times a week. I recently purchased a Panasonic jogger CD player and returned it because it skipped so much. Then I purchased the Aiwa XP-SP920. I like the quality of this product however, there is two features that need improving. The first feature is the skip button, it is in an inconvenient place on the CD player. My other complaint is at times the random feature has a mind of its own. I like the 48 second anti-skip, it works very well. I also am very happy with all of the other features on this product.
