These speakers sound great and have held up well for almost five years now in humid South Florida. I mounted them them outside under the eaves of my house. Even with the cheap plastic brackets that they came with for mounting, they have survived several hurricanes with no problem. The only issue is that the screen plates on the front have started to rust. I will eventually get around to popping them off, cleaning them, and spray painting them. Considering what they have been through and how good they still sound, that is a minor negative, so five stars from my side. Definitely worth the price.

For the money is fantastic

I got this to go on the patio. I have pair of HUGE Sony SSF's in the living room and a stereo receiver is powering the Audiosource as speaker B's.
The highs are very pronounced and clear. No apparant distortion. The lows are a bit weak when compared to the floor standing Sonys (yeah this is an unfair comparison) but still pretty good. Enough power to play any music at good levels without waking the neighbors.
Downside is the plastic bracket. Accepted a 14 AWG wire easily

Durable and light. I move them in and out to listen by the pool. Very good for low price speakers in this situation.

Best buy for the price

I purchased a pair of these speakers in June 2004. I can't believe the durability of these speakers! They are mounted on my siding and are exposed to weather. I do bring them indoors for the winter, including the plastic mounting brackets, but they get wet, get wind blown, you name it. They have been going strong for 4 years and I'm buying a pair for my neighbor. The sound quality is not Carnegie Hall but it's decent for cookouts or tunes while doing yard work. For the price, you can't beat it.
