I initially thought it was just a sales gimmick when the camera said to use only Panasonic discs every time the camera started up, but after trying a variety of discs from cheap bulk disks to Sony, to TDK, to Maxell - they all had variious problems with recording. However, every Panasonic disc I have used has worked like a charm.

complete junk, stick with maxell or sony

2 of the 5 discs failed on me with some footage that was priceless. Stay away from these.
