Well, it looks as though at least three of us have gotten stuck with an extra hood, sold separately, when purchasing this telephoto lens.

Great hood but it comes with the lens

It looks like a couple of us have made the same mistake. Don't buy this because the 70-200 f4/0L already comes with it. I now have 2.

This is a good lens hood, but it comes with the lens so I shouldn't have purchased it separately. The lens info of the lens does not indicate that the hood comes with it.

Standard item, but, good service

This hood comes with the 70-200 lens and my local shop didn't stock it. They said it was a special order part and that it would take a week for it to come in. I ordered it on a friday, and received it on a Wednesday. Not bad. Thanks Amazon.
