I ordered this on October 6, 2008 for $8.24, no shipping fee since I ordered something else to meet the $25 minimum required. "Atmosphere" was my preferred color choice and happened to be the cheapest color offered on that day - if you will click on the different color choices you will see the prices vary among the colors and must change week to week since right now the gold color is the cheapest. I would not have paid more than $12 for this rug - I don't feel it is worth more than that, but am pleased with it at the price I paid.
Also click on "Christy" above and find "Christy Renaissance Cotton Tub Mat" which comes in other colors but looks the same as this, however might be thicker and a different size. I found some matching towels that way (by looking at other "Christy" products) and have put them in my cart to check now and again to see if their prices lower. Amazon will let you know if anything in your cart changes price when you log on here.
I don't know why the word "silk" is included in the name of this rug since it is 100% cotton - it does have a slight sheen however.
I expected this to be like one of those hotel rugs that looks like a small towel but has a thicker weave to make it sturdier since from the photo that is how it appears to me. That is what I got, so I am satisfied since I was looking for a rug that would dry quickly and this one does when placed over the edge of the tub or shower door after being used.
It is well made and does not have the right texture for a "towel" - it might "appear" to some to be a small towel, but to me it feels like a rug, not truly "thick" but just thick enough to cushion your feet a little from a hard floor. Mine does not slide around on my linoleum floor. I like the overall simple design - looks good in my master bathroom. The color was what I was expecting - my monitor apparently shows the proper color.
The label says, "Christy - ENGLAND 1850 - 100% Cotton, Made in England, Wash deep colours separately - detergents containing brighteners will affect shade - keep away from bleach and skin treatments - FLAMMABLE - (fails U.S. Dept of Commerce STD. FF 2.70) - SHOULD NOT BE USED NEAR SOURCES OF IGNITION

"With Silk" means 100% cotton in this case

The heading of the listing says "Christy Embrace with Silk Tub Mat." If you read the rest of the listing carefully, you'll see it says 100% cotton. It's yet another case of "The big type giveth and the small type taketh away." This 100% cotton rug coordinates with Christy's Embrace towels which actually do contain silk, modal and cotton. These towels are awesome, incredibly soft and absorbent. But the towel mats, alas, are "just" cotton. They're still great products, but the heading is misleading.

Great Tub Mat

This is the tub mat I had been looking for for a long time. It is very durable - I've already washed it several times and not one fray or worn spot has shown up. It drys very well when hung up after showers. Also, the color matched my shower curtain very well. Definitely will buy this brand again.

Where is 0 stars. I guess it is a mat, so that warrants a 1. The description is a lie. I received two mats -- they are both 100% cotton -- cheap -- not luxury
