| User Reviews | | Good Work Horse rating: 5
I owned this all in one and used it several years at my restaurant. We used all it's functions and they performed well. The work horse part of this review is we printed color menus on thick paper stock. It's not easy to find a printer that will pick up and print thick paper. We "lucked out" on this one after trying several others. It did a great job for years and we printed thousands of menus. The rollers finally gave out from heavy use so I bought another one. Great machine!

HP Junk rating: 1
Do not buy this thing even if someone will sell it for twenty-five cents. I would give it zero stars if this rating existed. Color inks and print heads dry out prematurely costing major $$$ to replace. Once one cartridge drys out or is used up the machine will not print anything until you replace the cartridge. So if a color runs out and you just want black and white printing or copying you are out of luck. My unit failed after 14 months. Now it wants to run the print head alignment program every time it restarts if it is not kept on all the time. The auto document feeder also is bad. Unless you have greater than 1 inch margins all around the document it will get clipped off. HP buries this little detail inside the PDF manual that you must read on your computer. Sometimes it won't wake up from the energy save mode so if you have it connected for fax reception, guess what, no faxes come in. Do not get enticed by the all in one features as I did. The documentation from HP is terrible. HP is turning out junk now. Their only reputable models are the laser printers. There may only be a few of these bad boys left for HP to get rid of but this is guaranteed to disappoint. It is too big to put in your trash, so you will have to find a dumpster to hold this. Check out other reviews on the internet of people who have had these longer than a year. I would look to other companies if you have to have an all in one machine. Just beware of HP products these days. Shame on HP. Corporate greed has ruined a once respected company. The original company founders would be ashamed of what has happened to their company.

Cheap construction - Scanning sucks! rating: 2
For a multi-machine this thing seems cheaply constructed appearing to have that cheesy plastic, flimsy build. I made a BIG mistake moving from an HP Scanjet 8250 to the 9110. I crank up all the scan settings to scan NCR order forms, and all this does is produce a 400MB file that looks pixelated, light, and crappy. The scanjet 8250, using the same settings produces a beautiful copy at a reasonable file size. I usually do not have to make many modifications in the lighting to make the carbon copies readable....
Though the 9110 is obviously NOT primarily a scanner, I did not think that with technology 'now-a-days', that the results would be so much further below the par of ANOTHER HP product!

Worst HP product I've ever bought rating: 2
I am an IT Consultant and I expect a lot more from HP when buying their products. This is the worst product I have ever seen HP put in production.
Problem #1 - Software installation never completes and some program are missing.
Problem #2 - Scanner driver never installs and still does not work despite two phonecalls to HP and 6 hours of technical support.
Problem #3 - Fax contiues to report error to sending fax machine although you recieved the fax. Other machine just keeps resending. Finally found solution online to slow the connection speed.(Not on HP's website)
Problem #4 - Printer driver continously caused the system to powercycle with no error messages given. Printer driver was updated and problem resolved.
I have discussed this problem with HP and all they do is tell me to reinstall the software. I have done this three times and this product still does not work correctly. I have always had great success with HP products and find it hard to believe that they would sell a product with this many flaws right out of the box.
On the up side, the printer is very fast and has nice quality and color.

Scanner does not work, other functions just OK rating: 1
I have had a H-P OfficeJet 9110 for nearly a year now, in January the scan function stopped working. On H-P's recommendation I uninstalled the software and reinstalled, that did not fix the problem. After two more attempts of using H-P's more elaborate proceedures to uninstall/reinstall it still did not work. H-P sent me an 11 page Complete Uninstall proceedure which took me over 3 hours to complete and it still doesn't work.
This is a software problem.
TECH SUPPORT IS FROM INDIA AND IT SUCKS! They have repeatedly told me they will return my call within 24 hours and it usually takes 6 - 10 days and they still can not figure out the problem. We have proven it is not a hardware problem, it is running on XP Home on a H-P computer. They don't care if you are down or not or whether your business relies on the machine.
Someday, a company will find out that everyone is fed up with service from India and the Phillipines and will offer US tech suport and will steal the market.
Print function is as advertised, quality is not photo quality, fax I have had no problems with.
If you want a scanner, do not buy the H-P.
