The Anycom Bluetooth AP-2002 Access Point is the first IEEE 802.15 Bluetooth Access Point supporting both the PAN and LAN Bluetooth profiles. It allows any laptop, tablet, desktop, Palm or Pocket PC that has Bluetooth to connect to a Local Area Network, either at home or in the office! It operates at up to 723Kbps within a 100-meter range and supports up to seven users simultaneously. Transfer data between a Bluetooth-enabled computer or PDA and computers connected to the LAN via the AP-2002, or simply gain Internet access through the connected LAN. Our AP includes a Class 1 Bluetooth radio and is the only AP that allows you to change the class of the radio between Class 1, 2, and 3 via special software included. Our easy-to-use web browser interface makes managing your AP simpler than ever. By using DHCP, your AP obtains an IP address automatically when connected to the network. Since the AP-2002 uses standardized TCP/IP support and supports SNMP, it is fully compatible with your LAN infrastructure and requires little or no special configuration. This means that existing settings for user security, Internet proxy, DNS, web page caching, filtering, firewalls, and VPN (Virtual Private Network) configurations remain intact. Have it plugged into my wan/router so people visiting can use both WiFi or Bluetooth.. Especially handy since some of my customers have PDA's that only have Bluetooth built in. Also have several GigaBytes of MP3's for download, and those work fine on both the PDA's and phones.
