Sephora Brand Complexion Extractor with Lance

Sephora Brand Complexion Extractor with Lance

The Sephora Complexion Extractor with Lance has a stainless steel lancet for piercing whiteheads and a ring for pressing out blackheads. To use: Prior to using the Complexion Extractor with Lance, steaming the face, or using a hot water compress is strongly recommended to help soften comedones. This will make them much easier to remove. When you're ready to begin the extraction process lay the looped side on top of the blackhead - basically encircling this area with the loop. Apply slow and even pressure lightly until the trapped sebum is forced out of the follicle. Do not continue to attempt the extraction if the trapped sebum is not released easily. Applying too much force can cause infection and scarring. When piercing a whitehead, wait until the whitehead breaks open, then gently roll the tool over the whitehead. Be sure to disinfect the area when finished and clean your tool off with alcohol or hot water.A deep, cystic pimple should not be opened with the lancet. When dealing with deep acne, it's best to visit a dermatologist. A doctor may use a sterile needle, but only after a pustule has formed. Additional treatments depend on the severity of the acne.

Wonderful Tool
rating: 5

I bought this recently and I absolutely LOVE it. You just line up the circular part with pimple, apply light to moderate pressure, and the bad gunk comes right out! It is of course important that the pimple is ready to be popped, but this is so much better than doing it with your fingers. It is much easier since the tool applies the perfect amount of pressure to exactly the right place, and of course more sanitary since it's much easier to make sure that this tool is free of bacteria than it is your fingers.

All in all, I strongly reccomend!

great mini spearhead

got this from sephora. It came in fast. As said B4, customer service rules because they have details and prepaid mailing back to them.

This thing's a like a mini spearheard. Watch 300 and its like the mini versions The Spartans use. Let just say I'll just be using this to fish out coral or urchin spines . . . So far the metal quality is great stainless steel . . . The other end is maybe a marker? Like they use for marking skin over veins for giving needle sticks (like to give blood) or a guide for lancing? You press on your skin and makes a neat round hole that stays for minutes.

not too great

I was unfortunately very dissapointed with this extractor. It didn't really help extract my blemishes. I could use the lance side easy enough, but the side that's supposed to help with the black heads didn't do much. It ended up cutting my skin into a tiny circle, and the black head remained anyway. I paid about $25 for this thing after shipping, and would just rather get my money back.

I also agree this item is a waste of your money. I would not purchase it.

Rather useless.....

It doesn't work for what we intended it for: blackhead removal. My teen son was really hoping this would help him.... and it didn't. Not only that, but the safety cap for the lance end doesn't stay on.
