Greetings fellow Amazon users.
Like many of you I saw the infomercial for the Scunci steamer and believed what they were showing on the tv.
Grease running, mold disappearing, everything squeaky clean.
I feel like such a fool!!!
I got the steamer and first thing I did was plug the thing in.
It heated up fairly quickly but damn the thing is heavy!!!
Too heavy to be lugging around for any extended time.
The first thing I tried it on was a pan that had a bunch of black gunk on it. I tried the copper scrubby attachment and after an hour of steaming and scrubbing the pan looked no better.
Quite simply...it didn't work.
At this point I'm rather annoyed so I decided to try it in the bathroom on the tile grout which was filthy, another hour down the tube and still barely any visible results.
The last time I used the steamer was on the carpet, LOL!!!
What a joke, another hour and the carpet was just as dirty.
I ended up putting it in my garage sale and got ten bucks for it.
The moral of the story is this folks...
DON'T believe what you see on tv!!!
If it seems to good to be true, it is!!!
You'd think as a grown man I'd know better but I fell for the stupid infomercial hook, line, and sinker.

Never again will I be so foolish to think a heavy can of steamy water can do the job.
Never again will I fall for something being pitched on tv as a "miracle".
Learn from my mistake, this product is garbage and has ZERO redeeming value.

This new unit replaces my old one that was not repairable when I'd not used it for a year. The price was low enough to make it worth getting another despite design flaws that make it probably only good for a short time. Too bad they don't improve it.

decent cleaner for price

While not a great cleaner, it is certainly worth the $35. Mine just died after 1.5 years. If it were an expensive cleaner, I would be rather irate now, but for the price, it gave me 1.5 years of good cleaning. Especially good on grout, I also used it to take pet and other stains out of carpet. Does great at cleaning the woodwork, too. Overall, I can say you get more than you pay for.
