I needed something to hold a larger (34oz) coffee mug than my compact car console would hold. I commute with that full mug about 12 miles each morning and this does that job well. (No spills in 2 months of very regular use.) Secondarily, I organize a few simple items in it as well.

Works great for the back seat

I am very happy with this product. I put it in the back seat of my 1990 Honda Accord for my boys, who are growing out of their booster seats (which means no more cupholders). It fits perfect in the middle between the two seat belts. The kids use the back compartment for small toys and the cupholder even holds large drinks. It doesn't slide around on the canvas seat (I'm sure it wouldn't work on leather) and we haven't had any spills.

It is pretty good but takes alot of space, I bought this so I can have free shipping & handling with the other item I purchased which was my original purchase.
