I opted to buy this product rather than to rent a similar one from the local auto parts store. I must say I am very pleased with it. The design of the "jaws" made it very easy to slide over my tie rod and unscrew effortlessly. I had no problems at all with this tool.

This is the same Lisle quality tool, but much more affordable.

Just another tool

I bought one but could not use it znc had to return it. It requires another tool attached to the end of it to be used. Ordinary wrenches will do the same job.

Inner Tie Rod Tool

I previously purchased a cheaper tool, which includes a selection of 3 fittings to slip over the tie rod knuckle with flats of 3 widths. A tube slides over the tie rod shaft, engaging the fitting to torque. Problem with this cheaper tool is that the fitting of the proper size 'across the flats' to fit my tie rod, was not large enough to slip over the knuckle body, so it was useless. I got a refund and bought the Lisle tool, and very happy with it.
