Just what I was looking for and more!
rating: 5

I wanted a tape recorder/player that was reasonably small, played regular tapes and could be plugged in or run by batteries. After researching and comparing recorders on line I decided on the Sony TCM-210DV Standard Cassette Voice Recorder. I am very pleased with my choice -the price seemed reasonable, the sound is good, records easily and I really enjoy the variable speed feature, which allows you to listen to tapes in a shorter amount of time. The limited amount of recording I have done with the recorder has been very satisfactory. The recorder is still playing on the original batteries and I have used it a lot, which is another plus. I have a feeling that tape player/recorders are becoming dinosaurs, I'm glad I found this in time!

Tape Recorder

I use my tape recorder to Play Learning Tapes for my Sweet Adelines Group, and I also use it to record Homeowners Association Meetings. It is so easy to use, play, replay, change the speed and volume, it is the best cassette recorder I've owned. I have recommended this product to friends that were in the market for a recorder.

Great Little Recorder

I bought this for my daughter for simple voice and music recording at class. Picks up sounds from voice and piano. Very little noise. Nice and compact. Best cassette recorder she has.

this the old fashioned cassette type machine. works fine, less expensive than a digital one.

I bought this thing to replace my dying Aiwa. AFter having it for several months I'm not too crazy about this purchase. It doesn't do a lot of things and it wasn't cheap. Definitely, not getting what I paid for. It doesn't cue, the knobs are cheap and it feels with one push, the box might come a part. The design of this thing is kinda lame. The recording mic rests on one side while the record button you must push with the play button just doesn't make sense. It eats batteries so thank goodness for the dv adapter. The sound is clear enough but not as clear as Aiwa which they don't make anymore. And just not
I use it for recording ideas for music. I thought it recorded in stereo, well, that was MY mistake.
If you're recording speech and don't give a pig's nose about the 'feel' about the esthetics itself, then this is the device for you. And you'll pay well for it. It's worth $15 and maybe @20 with the adapter, not more.
