Allsop Stellar EFX Mouse Pad

Allsop Stellar EFX Mouse Pad

One day, we won't need computer mice, joysticks or game controllers. The harnessed power of our brains will be enough to move the cursor or steer your way through Grand Theft Auto III. Until then, here's an idea to bring the gaming experience that much closer. Turn down the lights and turn your game on.The Stellar EFX Pad glows. Powered by the USB port on your computer, this Mouse Pad becomes part of the experience, unlike that old Mouse Pad that only serves as an anchor, holding you in the world of reality. It uses four blue LED's in a unique "bubbled" acrylic border for a strong diffused glow. It has an extra long USB cord and a high performance, textured surface for precise mousing.

Sweet Pad

I have owned this product for about 2 years now and its just as nice as when I bought it. I have use several different mice on it since I have purchased it and have come to the conclusion that this is one of the best pads for your money. I curently use a razer copperhead on it and it floats like ice on glass. I did have the problem with it staying on when I shut off my computer but I changed it to a pci usb card insted of a motherboard usb and it stoped. fyi the usb is just to light the pads outer rim up

THIS PAD'S SURFACE IS PERFECT FOR LASER/INFRARED MICE.

It's slippery and it glows...

I was looking for an alternative to the near legendary Icemats, steelmats, exactmats, funcs, and whatnots, mainly due to their price, and how supposedly "subjective" mousing surfaces are. So I decided to save some money and buy this Stellar Efx, and I am pleased, even paying $25 for it. Matched with teflon mouse feet covers, it is great for high sensitivity users, aka FPS gamers... Nice and slippery. BUT... atleast on my setup, with a DFI Ultra-D mainboard, the cursed thing won't turn off!! I have to unplug the mousepad(which is odd anyways...) to have the lights turn out after powering down. So although I am happy, due to it not turning off, I think I would've rather bought a Razer Exactmat.

Though, if you are going the absolute best bang/buck route, this pad is cheap for its intended gaming audience, and spend the extra on a 1600 dpi Razer Daimondback ;) If you're a gamer, or buying for a gamer, this stuff is cheap in comparison to the rest of the system!! Keep on fraggin...
