User Reviews
Worst Docking Station I have owned
rating: 2

I have an Acer Ferrari 4005 WLMi, which I still use and still love. It has been rock solid since I bought it. When I got the laptop, I also bought an EZDock for it and I have hated it since I got it. It is far from "EZ" to use. You can't hook the dock cable up without looking over the back of the laptop to line up the cable and connector and if you move the laptop at all, it comes loose and you perform an "unsafe" undock. My first EZ Dock died while it was under warranty. It was still mostly functional, but all of the USB ports stopped working.

I am now watching my second EZDock die and it is no longer under warranty. When I plug in the laptop, I get video for a few seconds and then it goes away and the monitor goes black. If I wiggle the cable, I can sometimes get video back for a couple of seconds or, if I'm really lucky, a couple of minutes.

I really can't express how much I hate this thing compared to the dell and lenovo docks I've used in the past. At a hefty $275 this thing is not worth it.
