NOT RECOMMENDED GET THE OTHER ONE.

This thing sucks,I mean it does work but who would be driving with an oval rear view mirror? I strongly suggest the more sturdy and elegant ALL-VIEW mirror,it's around the same price and its square, not rounded like this one.I just sold this one on ebay for $20 bucks so even if you buy this one and regret it,just sell it on ebay.

You think you are getting the square mirror but you are shipped a large rounded one.

Reduces blind spots significantly. I wish every driver would use one.

Using this rearview mirror should make driving most cars and trucks much safer.

I had large blind spots in my car, which made lane changes overly dangerous if I wasn't extremely careful. The panoramic rearview mirror greatly reduced the blinds spots. I went ahead and stuck a convex mirror (similar to the "Cipa Hot Spot Corner Wedge") onto each of my exterior rearview mirrors to augment the interior panoramic rearview mirror. By using these add-on mirrors, I can now reliably tell whether there are other vehicles beside or behind my car.

The mirror is easy to install with no tools, and can be easily removed. There are two plastic clips on the bottom of the mirror which grasp the bottom of your existing rear view mirror, and two plastic clips on the top of the mirror which are spring loaded to expand around any reasonably sized rear view mirror. Once installed, you can adjust the direction of the mirror by positioning your original rearview mirror as normal.

When I first wrote this review, the mirror in the photo above was rounded, as was the product I received. Since then, the photo has been replaced with one of a rectangular mirror. I'm not sure which you would receive, but the description indicates the 18" version should be rounded.

The only negatives I could find with the mirror are:
* It is strange looking because of its large size (18" x 3"). I got used to it fairly quickly though.
* Since it is panoramic, your perspective is distorted, even more so than a normal rear view mirror. Objects (vehicles) are much closer than they appear in the mirror.
* It covers your existing rearview mirror, so you lose the ability to flip the factory mirror to shaded mode (for when someone is driving behind you with their high-beams on). Also, if you have one of those mirrors that has an electronic display to show direction, time, temperature, or whatever, that would be covered up.

Personally, I think these issues are a small price to pay for the added safety that the panoramic mirror brings.
