From the supplier: Methodist missionary Henry Gerhard Appenzeller, a native of Pennsylvania and of Swiss-German parentage, was instrumental in spurring the fast growth of Christianity in Korea. Appenzeller's influence did not lie in his writings which were mostly political and dealt with practical matters. He was famous for his singlemindedness in conversion work. He was an evangelistic crusader through and through.
