From the supplier: A study on the diet and hunting behavior of Plumbeous kites found in Tikal National Park, Peten, Guatemala over a period of four years is given. The bird species is found in the lowlands of eastern Mexico, Bolivia, Argentina and Paraguay and winters at the southern and northern limits of its habitat range. The kites found in the Tikal area arrive in late February and build nests in March. By June the birdlings are hatched and by August the birds start their migratory flight. The Tikal study site is mainly forested but is located near clearings around Maya ruins.
