Good, but not great
rating: 4

The speakers are plenty loud for a laptop computer. Sometimes the sound is funky depending upon the medium that you're playing. Things may sound too high pitched or too flat, which will result in you changing the EQ quite a lot. While that gets annoying after awhile, it isn't a big enough deal to make me want to get rid of the speakers. The price was right, and if you have the EQ adjusted properly the sound is right also.

Oh, and the bass is pretty decent for such low wattage!

I'd recommend these, but if you're looking for the next step up I recommend the Klipsch 2.1 system ([.......]).

Not Bad

For a 2.1 speaker system under 70 dollars, these things perform quite well. The biggest problem I have with them is that there is no tweeters, but I knew that prior to buying them. The mids and the lows perform amazing for the price range. The speakers also take up little room on my desk since they are skinny. All in all, the speakers are well worth the buy.

Great for a desktop set

I use these in a small office and they're excellent. They do have a little hum if you leave the volume turned up when not in use (my answer is to turn the volume lower when not in use). I use an onboard audio card, but these could be even better with a quality audio card.

great speakers

the speakers work great. i love that the subwoofer isn't over powering. i just bought this one for my brother but i've had mine for about 3 yrs and i have had no problems with them at all. they still have a great sound and work perfectly fine. i hook up my computer, my xbox 360 and mp3 player to them all the time and works perfect.

IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A BOOST TO YOUR PC'S SOUND, LOOK NO FARTHER. THE CRISP, CLEAN SOUND IS AMAZING, YOU CAN FEEL THE BASE THROUGH THE FLOOR AND IT'S SITTING ON A SHELF ABOUT 4 INCHES ABOVE IT. I BOUGHT THESE FOR MY SON'S PC AND I CAN SEE ANOTHER SET BEING PURCHASED FOR MINE.
