Everytihng i needed to know about this product was in both the Item Name and the Descriptopn. I had NViDIA GeFORCE card in pc and most fullscreen game modes weren't supported by the monitor yet same game in same mode works flawlessly with this card. would include video review if webcam were working properly since it's my only motion camera at the current time.

The price on this product was well below what I was expecting. The order went smooth and the product was at my door within days. It's really helped with the graphics on my 5 month old PC. I couldn't be happier.

Call me happy rating: 5
Purchased graphics card, though not on Bioware's approval list for use with Mass Effect, WRONG.....best card I have ever had. Mass Effect runs flawlessly! With all the complaints with Mass Effects shader problems why was this card on the no list? Just call me happy. Playing Mass Effects on a 21" Sony E540...WOW, just call me happy!

A mixed bag rating: 3
I bought this card for my HTPC hoping to be able to play protected HD content. The item description states "compliance with HDMI and HDCP connections" but it failed HDCP complinace. Contact with ATI support resulted in them saying the card is NOT HDCP, sorry. The item description states, "H.264 decoding, encoding, and transcoding" which is also not true. You must buy a $100 third party software package to enable this.
Another quirk is that the card will not output to HDMI until Windows is started. Therefore you must install it using the VGA port first to get the drivers installed. You BIOS, POST, and DOS screens can only be dispalyed via VGA not DVI/HDMI. ATI says this is a known issue with no anticipated fix.
The Nvidia card I replaced was plug-and-play and out-of-the-box did not have these issues. However this card does 1920 x 1080 much better than the Nvidia. The picture is exactly full-screen and the text is sharp and crisp. Despite its failures, quirks, and flaws, it generates a great view.
If you are trying to build an HTPC be very careful in buying sound and video cards. Despite their claims, many will not do Dolby Digital and HD video. DRM bites the consumer again.
