the wide screen distored the images.. I did not like it at all, had to send it back. I was charged a restocking fee, plus $20. shipping to return it.. I am out $50. and still no Monitor.. What a jip.

Great value for the price; a welcome CRT replacement

I was on the hunt for an inexpensive desktop monitor, and I happened upon the Open Box buys at Best Buy. This monitor was in the display for $119.99, a GREAT price.

I will be using it for a variety of purposes, but I hooked it up to my MacBook Pro as a secondary monitor just to try it out and see how it looked. Well, it looks great! The 8ms refresh rate seems to work great with videos, compared to some Samsung 15" flat panels that I purchased back in 2001. The resolution is a nice 1280x720, and it has both DVI and VGA inputs (and you can plug two things in and toggle between them!)

For what I need and for what I paid, this monitor was a GREAT deal!

Great LCD by Quality Manufaturer, Gateway.

All You need to do is be sure your computor resolution is set for widescreen and your squares will look like squares.

Awsome monitor, got mine in a package deal and dumped my perfectly working (ok recycled at the recycling plant) my old 17" flat screen standard monitor.

With it's anti-glare treatment it's much easier on the eyes than my old CRT monitor, no more headaches after a long day of data entry, a cleaner look to my desk, and not to mention room. This sleek, slim design is at least half the weight of traditional monitors making it much easier to clean around and under (those pesky dust bunnies get everywhere).

I like my squares to display as squares, and on this widescreen monitor I get rectangles.
There does not appear to be a way to revert to normal screen width, so on a desktop you have to turn your head back and forth to read the stretched out screen.
NOT good for office work. Might be OK for viewing DVDs of movies, but that is really all I can think of as a use for this fairly expensive monitor.
OH, the 8mps refresh rate is not great.
