Great product. Only have to lift valise an inch off ground to get reading. Very easy.

Low quality electronics die just when you need it most. rating: 1
A great concept. Unfortunately the electronics are poor quality. Worked fine just after purchase. My first trip was not for a few months. The scale rested gently in the closet & pulled out during that crucial last night, late night packing session. Crisis! I had to get my bag down from 63 lbs. to under 50. The scale suddenly would only regiater in Kilograms. None of the buttons work. I got the calculator out, then gave up used the bathroom scale. That trusty bathroom scale worked a charm just the way it did for my parents back in the 1960s. Of course I'm a little stuck for weighing on the return trip, but a freeze on souvenir buying should do the trick.
Now it's a couple months too late for a return, it died during its first use and there is no warranty. Buyer beware.

This worked great! No more guessing at the airport. Check before you leave home. Same time and money.

I actually have bought two now (because my Dad loved this so much when I was visiting he said "use it before you go, then leave it here and buy another one when you go back"). It's light, easy to pack, and most importantly. It does what it's supposed to do. I think at most it's ever varied with the scale at the airport was about a half pound...and it was showing a half pound heavier than the airport scale...so again worked in my favor. It really will save you money..and pay for itself in one trip. $20 for the scale $25 for overweight fee by airline. This is a must-have when travelling by air...or heck if you're just curious how much your backpack weighs.
