This camera is one of the best purchases I've ever made. I use to buy the cheaper model digital cameras and always gripe about red eye or blurry pictures or I couldn't see the pics on the back of the camera. NO more. You can Definately see the pics you take and all the features on this thing. I'm constantly finding cool new little capabilities this thing can do. Reviewing a picture that was taken and then touch screening it to zoom in left or right etc was great. And the smile capture was pretty funny to use and it worked great. I let some of my friends that are known for taking the worse pictures and it even stepped in and made sure they couldn't even take a bad picture. Great low light capability. Trust me you will not be disappointed with this picture. Buy, buy, buy it.

If you're looking for a camera that is fast and easy and still takes great pictures, this is not the one for you. Cool camera, but shootings modes take too long to switch between, especially when you're trying to catch a 2 yr old in her cutest moments..

Excellent choice!

I bought this camera for my husband for his birthday, then promptly confiscated it for myself! I absolutely love it. It is small - as small as a cell phone and very thin. It fits in my purse or jeans pocket, so it ends up going everywhere with me. Special moments at restaurants, at the park with the kids, at school functions, etc., would have been lost in the past because it was too much effort to carry a bulky camera around. Now I am having a grand time taking pictures of EVERYTHING.

I think the user interface is great. It is easy to use, and it also feels good, clicking on the options with the little plastic stylus that attaches to the wrist cord. It's convenient and fun.

The pictures are coming out great. I'm not a professional photographer by any means, so mostly I just depend on the "Auto" feature, and it works fine. Even close-ups of plants and flowers turn out well. You can take a picture at full resolution, then trim it down to size, and get excellent focus of small objects.

My kids are getting a kick out of the smile-recognition feature. It's just a gimmick, but it is fun and it seems to work well. I love this camera.

Sony at its Best!!

I just got this item and it is beyond amazing. I had a Sony T100 and sold it and bought this one because of its large touch screen. The touch screen works great and it does not scratch easily. Its like my Ipod touch for functuality of the screen. Very easy to use once you get familiar where all the menus are and easy to point and shoot.

Quote: "The screen Scratches easily, Poor picture Qulity, Horrible quality for Sony, Freezes, slow" These are some examples i took from other reviews on many sites and wanted to let you know that all of these are wrong. They are most likely from people who are bias for a certain company, design or does not like Sony. All of these things that were picked out by these people are not accurate its actually the opposite. The Screen dosent scratch easily, good picture quality, excellent feel and quality of the camera and never freezes.

If you are to buy a camera for everyday use and dont want to spend 1,000 on a SLR Camera and are like me this is the perfect camera to use!! So this is a must buy for 2008!
