There's also an Easy Zoom button on the camera top - just press it, and the optical zoom and Extra Optical Zoom instantly extend to full telescopic position. You need to set camera to auto or a HIGH ISO to not get blurry pictures. If you had yours set to a low ISO--you will get blurry pictures_so you got what you set the camera for. Should have set it on smart scene select.

Noise, noise and more noise

Nice compact size. Solid feel. But the noise reduction feature reduced pictures to a blurry mess. Even at it's lowest ISO 100. 10 megapixels were way too much for this camera. Just noisy.
