Early drafts of THE MASTER OF VERONA started very differently, focusing on the novel's villainous Count of San Bonifacio. When the opening changed, a good deal of the Count's backstory went away - and I've missed it. So I've rewritten that lost opening, adding and expanding until it was a window into the great man's mind, his dreams and the sense of injustice that was instilled in him from birth. Those elements combine to create SAN BONIFACIO'S CURSE.
