This machine is amazing!!! For those of you who have bad allergies, sinus problems you must try this. I have bad seasonal allergies and this machine does the job. It really cleans your sinuses and you can breathe 100% better. I have tried different solutions but I personally think plain cheap salt water works just as good. If you have never irrigated before it will seem really weird to do such a thing. However I assure you if you keep an open mind and give it a shot you won't be disappointed. Afterwords you can smell things so much better than before.

Good product, effective for chronic sinus and allergy problems

I've had one of these for probably around 6 years. I do not use it every day but use it when my sinus problems flare up. It is relatively easy to use and it rinses my sinuses much better than a neti pot or lavage bottle. The prepackaged saline that comes along with this with the xylitol is fantastic. There is a switch on the handle to shut on and off the water flow, I can hear the pump straining when it is on and the switch has the water flow off, so I try to avoid switching the water flow off too much. I would think this is one of the reasons why I have gotten better life out of it than other reviewers have.
It needs to be cleaned out with a full fill of water running through the device after every use to keep from clogging with salt residue.
I use the nielmed bottle when I am on travel. For someone new to nasal irrigation I would recommend starting with a nielmed or similar lavage bottle with saline mix that include a buffer like sodium bicarbonate, not just salt, as a plain salt solution is irritating to most folks. The lavage bottle is similar to this device. The neti pot is not as wet as this with the feeling of breathing water (Overall I find it pleasant, but I could see some folks might not.)

My entire family uses this item. We all suffer from seasonal allergey and what a relief this item can give. It's noisie but that's the only draw back that I have.

I have had the same one for 4 years and it's still working as good as ever (knock on wood). I love this thing and honestly don't know what I'd do without it. I only use it when I'm battling with allergies or getting a cold but it works like a gem. It will stop a cold in it's tracks and it will get rid of that annoying itchy sticky feeling you get in your nose and sinuses. It helped me tremendously during very cold MA winters while working around children who were always sick and it has helped me deal with AZ dryness and allergies. It is so worth the money!!

Junk, junk, junk buy a waterpik...

I had sinus surgery 10 years ago and bought the waterpick and sinus irrigation head. It worked great. Ten years later, I'm in the same situation and decided to buy this product instead of the sinus surgery....IT is totally junk.....I can't even believe it's being sold on Amazon or even any other legitimate place. It's made of cheap plastic ande the second time I tried to use it, it failed......JUNK.....I'm going back to the waterpik.....I read the reviews here on Amazon and thought I knew better...I was wrong...Do not buy.....it is totally useless junk and a waste of money!!!
