I bought these shoes because my 8 month-old baby is very excited about walking and while I am ok with him walking barefoot on grass or on other clean surfaces I am not happy to have him walk around barefoot in restaurants and other dirtier surfaces. It is a nice, easy to put on shoe, soft and flexible. It is not the ultimate walking shoe and it does make the baby walk funny (I am guessing other shoes do the same at this stage) - compared to stride rite shoes it does not have as much support. But it is a great shoe if your baby walks only a little bit or not at all and you just want him/her to wear shoes.
